Scholarship Terms

Overview

Guidu, operated by DDN Enterprises ("DDNE"), facilitates scholarship examinations and programmes on behalf of partnered educational institutions and scholarship organisations ("Scholarship Providers"). These Terms and Conditions ("Scholarship Terms") apply to all scholarship examinations and awards facilitated through the Guidu Platform at www.guidu.in.

These Scholarship Terms supplement and should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. In the event of any conflict, these Scholarship Terms shall take precedence with respect to scholarship-related matters.

Eligibility

Eligibility for each scholarship examination or programme is determined by the respective Scholarship Provider and will be specified in the individual scholarship listing on the Platform. General eligibility requirements may include:

• Specific class, grade, or academic level (e.g., Class 8–12, undergraduate, postgraduate)
• Minimum percentage or CGPA in specified qualifying examinations
• Indian citizenship or residency (unless otherwise stated)
• Annual family income below a specified threshold (for need-based scholarships)
• Category-specific criteria (e.g., merit-based, state-specific, subject-specific)

By registering for a scholarship examination on Guidu, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility criteria specified for that examination. DDNE reserves the right to verify eligibility at any stage, and any misrepresentation may result in disqualification.

Registration

To register for a scholarship examination through Guidu, you must:

• Create and maintain a verified Guidu account with accurate personal and academic information
• Complete the scholarship registration form with all required information before the stated deadline
• Pay any applicable examination fee through the approved payment channels on the Platform
• Retain your Application ID and Transaction ID — these are essential for all future correspondence and dispute resolution
• Ensure a parent or guardian's consent is obtained if you are a minor

Registration is complete only upon receipt of a confirmation email or confirmation displayed on the Platform. DDNE is not responsible for registration failures due to incomplete information, technical issues on the user's end, or missed deadlines.

Fees & Payments

Scholarship examinations facilitated through Guidu may require payment of:

• Examination registration fee: Set by the Scholarship Provider and specified in the scholarship listing
• Guidu convenience fee: A non-refundable processing fee charged by DDNE for facilitating the registration

All fees must be paid online through the payment options available on the Platform. Cash payments are not accepted. Fees paid are generally non-refundable — please refer to our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details.

You are advised to carefully verify the examination details, including fees, before completing payment. DDNE is not responsible for fees paid towards incorrect examinations or incorrect amounts due to user error.

Examination Conduct

Scholarship examinations conducted or facilitated through Guidu are governed by the following conduct rules:

• You must carry valid photo identification (school ID, Aadhar card, or equivalent) to the examination centre, as specified in the admit card
• You must report to the examination centre at the time specified on your admit card; late entry may not be permitted
• All electronic devices, including mobile phones, smartwatches, and earphones, are strictly prohibited inside examination halls unless expressly permitted
• Use of any unfair means — including copying, communication with others, or use of unauthorised materials — will result in immediate disqualification
• Candidates must follow all instructions of the invigilators and examination staff at all times
• Any attempt to photograph, record, or reproduce examination questions is strictly prohibited and may attract legal action

For online or at-home examinations, additional proctoring conditions specified in the examination instructions will apply.

Results & Awards

Results of scholarship examinations will be declared on the dates specified in the scholarship listing, either on the Guidu Platform or on the Scholarship Provider's official website. The following terms apply to results and awards:

• Results declared by the Scholarship Provider are final and binding; no re-evaluation is available except where expressly provided in the scholarship's own terms
• Scholarship awards — including the amount, form (cash, fee waiver, or other benefit), and disbursement process — are determined solely by the Scholarship Provider
• DDNE acts as a facilitator only and has no role in the selection of scholarship recipients or the disbursement of awards
• Any grievance regarding examination results or scholarship awards must be raised directly with the Scholarship Provider
• Merit lists and results may be published on the Platform for transparency, subject to the consent of the Scholarship Provider

Disqualification

A candidate will be disqualified from a scholarship examination, and any award revoked, if they are found to have:

• Submitted false or misleading information during registration
• Used unfair means during the examination
• Failed to meet the eligibility criteria at the time of registration or award
• Impersonated another candidate or allowed another person to appear in their place
• Violated the examination conduct rules specified above or any additional rules set by the Scholarship Provider
• Engaged in any fraudulent activity in connection with the scholarship or examination

Disqualification decisions made by DDNE or the Scholarship Provider are final. No refund will be issued upon disqualification due to violations by the candidate.

Cancellation & Postponement

DDNE and Scholarship Providers reserve the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule any scholarship examination at any time due to:

• Insufficient registrations
• Technical or operational difficulties
• Force majeure events including natural disasters, epidemics, civil unrest, or government orders
• Any other reason determined at DDNE's or the Scholarship Provider's sole discretion

In the event of cancellation, DDNE will make reasonable efforts to notify registered candidates via the contact details on their Guidu account. Refund eligibility in case of cancellation will be governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

• DDNE does not guarantee that participation in any scholarship examination will result in a scholarship award
• DDNE is not responsible for the accuracy of examination content or the fairness of evaluation by the Scholarship Provider
• DDNE shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from examination cancellation, postponement, result delays, or technical issues during online examinations
• Candidates participate in scholarship examinations entirely at their own risk

Governing Law

These Scholarship Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India.
