Overview
DDN Enterprises ("DDNE") operates Guidu as a technology intermediary facilitating access to educational opportunities. Guidu charges certain fees for platform services including application processing, examination registration support, and premium features. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains when and how these fees may be refunded.
Types of Fees
Guidu may charge the following types of fees:
- Convenience fee: A non-refundable processing fee charged for facilitating application submission or payment processing on the Platform
- Application support fee: A fee charged for assisted application services, document verification support, or guided application processing
- Examination registration fee: Fees collected on behalf of partnered examination bodies for scholarship exam registrations
- Premium subscription fee: Fees for access to premium features, question banks, or advanced preparation tools on the Platform
Non-Refundable Fees
The following fees are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances:
- Convenience fees charged for payment processing or application submission
- Examination registration fees once the registration has been processed and confirmed
- Application support fees where the service has been initiated or delivered
- Fees for any service that has already been fully or substantially rendered
- Fees in cases where the application or registration was rejected due to incorrect or incomplete information submitted by the user
Refundable Circumstances
A refund may be considered in the following limited circumstances:
- Duplicate payment: If the same transaction is charged twice due to a technical error, the duplicate charge will be refunded in full
- Service not rendered: If DDNE fails to deliver a paid service entirely due to reasons attributable solely to DDNE (e.g., technical failure not resolved within 7 working days), a refund may be considered
- Examination cancelled by authority: If an examination for which registration was completed is cancelled by the examination authority without rescheduling, the examination registration fee (excluding the Guidu convenience fee) may be eligible for refund subject to the examination authority's own refund policy
- Overcharging: If you were charged an amount higher than the stated fee due to a system error, the excess amount will be refunded
Refunds in all the above circumstances are subject to verification and DDNE's sole determination.
Refund Process
To request a refund, please follow these steps:
- Email info@guidu.in with the subject line "Refund Request – [Your Application/Transaction ID]"
- Include in your email: your full name, registered email address, transaction ID, amount paid, date of payment, and the reason for the refund request
- Attach any supporting documents (e.g., payment confirmation screenshot, bank statement)
- DDNE will review your request and respond within 7 working days
- If the refund is approved, it will be processed to your original payment method within the timeline stated below
Cancellation by User
If you wish to cancel a paid service before it has been initiated:
- Contact us at info@guidu.in immediately with your transaction details
- Cancellation requests received before the service has been initiated will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis
- Convenience fees are not refundable even upon cancellation before service initiation
- Once an examination registration has been submitted to the examination authority, it cannot be cancelled
Cancellation by DDNE
DDNE reserves the right to cancel any service, registration, or account access in the following situations:
- Violation of our Terms & Conditions or Community Guidelines
- Submission of false or misleading information during registration or application
- Fraudulent payment activity or chargebacks
- Circumstances beyond DDNE's control (force majeure)
In the event of cancellation by DDNE due to violations by the user, no refund will be issued. In the event of cancellation due to force majeure or a service failure attributable to DDNE, a partial or full refund may be offered at DDNE's discretion.
Refund Timeline
Approved refunds will be processed within the following timeframes:

These timelines are from the date of refund approval by DDNE. Actual credit to your account may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
Disputes
If you are dissatisfied with a refund decision, you may escalate the matter by writing to info@guidu.in with "Refund Dispute – [Transaction ID]" in the subject line. All disputes are subject to the governing law and jurisdiction specified in our Terms & Conditions (courts at Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India).
